Sam Rit Residency

Corona virus in thailand

Thailand, like the rest of the world, has been impacted by Corona virus.   The Thai Government initiated a national vaccine programme over 3 years ago.  Sam Rit Village is in the region of Phimai and most people from 5 years upwards have been vaccinated.  Most have had 2 vaccinations and a booster.  Sinovac, Sinopharm, Astra Zeneka and Pfizer are the most common.  Due to the rapidly changing nature of the epidemic is is important that you check with your airline, your own government's travel advice and the websites of the Thai Ministry of Health and Tourism Authority of Thailand. (see below)

vaccination and Testing

There is currently a requirement to demonstrate that you have been vaccinated. This can be through an on line or physical certificate or yellow vaccination pasport.  Rapid tests and PCR are used in Thailand in accord with Government requirements to establish your status.

MAsk Wearing

Thai people, and Asians in general are accustomed to wearing masks when they have a cough or cold.  During the pandemic, public places require the wearing of a mask and there is a fine if you do not.  They cost around $US 1.50 for 50 masks.
