Sam Rit Residency

Medical safety in SAmrit

Thailand, like the rest of the world, has been impacted by Corona virus which is constantly changing. There has not been a reported case in SamRit for over a year however infections are being reported in popular tourist areas.   We are not in a Malaria zone. We have encountered seasonal Dengue fever in the past but no recent cases as mosquito control has been effective.   We do however have mosquitos in the evening so coils and insect sprays will help. We have not had rabies infected animals or anyone bitten by the local dogs.  No lethal spiders. You may see snakes and most are non-venemous but we do see the occasional cobra, large water monitor lizards and gekkos but there are no known issues over recent years.  Thare are rice paddy dogs (strays) which may bark but no artists have ever been bitten.  No reported cases of rabies to date.
There were occasional reports of Covid infections in 2025 but this has not been observed in our precinct.

vaccination and Testing

There are no current vaccine requirement for any diseases but this can rapidly change as is the case in many countries.

MAsk Wearing

Thai people, and Asians in general are accustomed to wearing masks when they have a cough or cold.  Northern Thailand has recently reported an acute respiratory infection which has adversely affected at risk people.
