Become a resident at Sam Rit

Applications are now open with calls and deadlines. Individual and group applications are accepted.

 

All applications will be reviewed within 2-3 weeks of submission. Please be sure to apply at least 6 weeks in advance of your preferred residency time frame.

• Letter of introduction and reasons for interest in residing

• Work history 

• Links to your creative portfolio/website

• ​Your goals as an artist in residence

  • Why you have chosen to apply specifically to Sam Rit Residency

  • How you will engage with the local community whilst you're in the village

  • Which month and duration you're applying for

Applications are used to determine the artistic, professional and personal merits of potential residents.  This is a highly competitive process where we look for dedication to developing professionalism in the arts, willingness to explore new cultures, and for people who seek to push the boundaries of their personal and artistic lives.  We also value the time and effort that applicants put into their application.

Terms and Conditions
For those successful in an offer of placement, a non-refundable deposit of $100 USD is required within 10 days to confirm a place in the program.  The balance of the fee is due within 4 weeks of the residency start date.
